Daubs, Steve
Steve Daubs was born into Jemez Pueblo around 1959, the son of Gerri Gachupin Daubs and a San Ildefonso Pueblo father. Elvira Gachupin was his maternal grandmother, Maria Sanchez his great-grandmother.
His sister, Patricia Daubs, learned how to make pottery from Steve but their brother, Dennis, really learned how to make pottery from Juanita Fragua and collaborated with Glendora Fragua sometimes, until they divorced.
Steve mostly made stone polished redware and tanware sgraffito-decorated bowls, jars, seed pots and miniatures.
