Cajero, Teri
Teri Cajero was born into Jemez Pueblo in September 1984. Her parents were Anita and Aaron Cajero Sr. Her brother is Aaron Cajero Jr.
Teri was interested in clay early. Her parents showed her how to make kiva pots and figurines, then she graduated to making storytellers. At 12 years old she earned a First Place award for a figurine at the Santa Fe Indian Market. She earned another First Place award the next year for a kiva pot.
Teri seems to have stopped making pottery after 2001, only reappearing at the Heard Museum Indian Arts Fair & Market in 2013. She’s been a participant at the Heard every year since then.
