Harvey, Vina
Vina Harvey appears to have been the daughter of Theresa Harvey of the Hopi First Mesa village of Walpi. Vina became active in the marketplace around 1970, toward the end of Theresa’s career. They both made black-on-red bowls and black-and-red-on-yellow jars. Their favorite designs included parrots, eagle tail feathers and rain clouds. If mother and daughter didn’t each sign their pots, their pots couldn’t be told apart. Theresa, however, was more famous.
