Huma, Violet

Violet Huma (c.1910-c.1985) was a Hopi potter from the village of Sichomovi. She was active in the marketplace from about 1930 into the early 1980s. She made mostly black-and-red-on-yellow chicken effigy bowls and plates with holes for hanging. She also made black-on-red jars and piki bowls.

Anita Polacca, also of Sichomovi, was her daughter.
