Silveira, Vivi

Viviana Vivi Silveira Hernandez is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. She usually collaborates with her husband, Alex Ortega, in making black-on-white pottery with a variety of sgraffito animals, reptiles, insects and birds with some sort of background geometric mesh.

In 2019 Vivi earned a Second Place ribbon at the annual Concurso Ceramica de Mata Ortiz for a figure she made.
