Nez, Wallace

Born in 1972, Wallace Nez is a Dineh potter who was raised on a ranch in the Aneth, UT area by his grandparents, Roy and Daisy Harvey. He showed an interest in art early in life and they encouraged him. At the age of 15, he was awarded one of the top five Entrepreneurs awards given by the state of Utah. That encouraged him to continue in his chosen field.

Wallace has earned numerous First and Second Place awards, including a Best of Division award from the Museum of Northern Arizona in 1999 and Best of Division awards from both the Heard Museum and the Santa Fe Indian Market in 2004.
