Villa, Yesenia

Yesenia Yezy Villa is a potter who lives and works in the Barrio Central area of Mata Ortiz, a small village in the northern part of the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. She is originally from the tiny village of Santa Rosa, in the hills south of Mata Ortiz. She is known for producing beautifully painted white bottles that often come with an offset spout. Her motifs are usually made up of intricate tiny lines.
