Vigil, Charlotte

Charlotte was born into San Ildefonso Pueblo in 1954. She became Charlotte Vigil when she married Doug Vigil, the son of Albert Vigil and Josephine Cordova. Doug and Charlotte learned how to make pottery from Josephine. Josephine had been taught by her aunts, Maria Martinez and Clara Montoya.

Doug and Charlotte work separately but collaborate often. They primarily make black-on-black bowls and jars. They have earned multiple ribbons at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Eight Northern Pueblos Arts & Crafts Show, together and apart.
