Concho, Frances
Frances (Patricio) Concho was born to Jose and Helen (Zieu) Patricio of Acoma Pueblo in 1947. She learned how to make pottery by watching and working with her parents as she was growing up. She married Isidore Concho and they collaborated in making pottery for many years. Frances taught her daughter, Marietta Juanico, and her son, Norbert Patricio, how to make pottery.
Frances made traditional polychrome jars and bowls. There’s not a lot of information available about her but she did win a Best of Show ribbon at the New Mexico State Fair.
