Martinez, Jesse

Jesse Martinez is the son of George and Pauline Martinez, great-grandson of Maria Martinez of San Ildefonso Pueblo and grandson of Cresencia Tafoya of Santa Clara Pueblo and Adam and Santana Martinez of San Ildefonso.

Pauline was born and grew up at Santa Clara Pueblo but when she married George, she moved to his home at San Ildefonso. Their children grew up at San Ildefonso, each learning to make pottery from their parents and grandparents as they grew up.
